In October 2024, Andrew Holton joined the Research Triangle Foundation of NC as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In his role, Andrew supports the leadership of the Finance, Administration, Marketing and Communications, and Placemaking teams and advises the Foundation on strategic initiatives and real estate activities.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Andrew worked on a wide range of real estate development initiatives, specializing in public private partnerships, master planning, and downtown development. This work included a $350 million phased development in downtown Wilson, NC, a $250 million mixed-use development in Kannapolis, NC, and another $300 million in smaller projects from Florida to New Hampshire. He first became interested in public private partnerships on the public side, initially with the University of North Carolina Program on Public Life, and eventually with the NC Department of State Treasurer. Throughout these roles, Andrew has focused on melding public and private interests.
Andrew holds a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lansing Melbourne Group, NSV Development, and the Caris Foundation.
