Jaguar Gene Therapy to Build $125.4 M, 200-Job Manufacturing Site in RTP
The fast-growing young company plans to manufacture clinical and commercial quantities of its novel adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapies in the Durham County factory. The facility is projected to increase the state's gross domestic product by more than $279 million when fully operational, and increase net state revenue by $35 million.
RTP gets a skyscraper: The Hub project lands office tower from developer Longfellow
Longfellow Real Estate Partners has signed on to develop 220,000 square feet of office and life science space at Hub RTP. The building will feature state-of-the-art lab space and Class A office space. “Longfellow has been invested in RTP for years, helping develop and create world class lab and office space for some of the top companies in the world,” said Longfellow Partner Jessica Brock.
Apple announces a new campus at Research Triangle Park
Apple plans invest $1 billion over 10 years to establish a campus in Research Triangle Park and create at least 3,000 jobs would pay an average of $187,000 a year starting in 2023, according to the state Department of Commerce.
Ventilator maker IPM Chirana picks RTP for US Headquarters
The company chose RTP for its headquarters because it is a biotechnology hub with proximity to clinical research organizations and Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, both of which have research hospitals.
