NISS | National Institute of Statistical Sciences
The National Institute of Statistical Sciences (NISS) conducts and catalyzes collaborative research in statistics and data science. Principal activities are research and collaborative projects in areas such as data confidentiality, data integration, data quality, education statistics, healthcare, transportation, experimental design, and complex surveys. A multi-sector (industry, government and academia) Affiliates Program plays a vital role in research stimulation, dissemination, human resources and networking functions. Together with Duke, North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NISS was a founding member of the NSF funded Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute (SAMSI), from 2002 to 2017 which was co-located with NISS. See www.NISS.org to contact NISS and for more information.
