Kathryn joined the Research Triangle Foundation of NC in April 2026 as a Programs Coordinator. In this role, she plans and executes a variety of engaging events across Boxyard RTP and Frontier RTP. Kathryn is passionate about cultivating community relationships and ensuring a seamless experience for participants and partners alike at all the diverse events.

Prior to this position, Kathryn served as the Group Program Graduate Assistant for the Study Abroad Office at North Carolina State University. There, she managed and created content for the office’s primary Instagram account and developed promotional materials, application brochures, and website content supporting more than 60 group programs. She has also been actively involved with InWave, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Korean culture, since 2024, where she was recently promoted to Executive Senior Intern.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication, with a minor in International Studies, from East Carolina University, and later completed her Masters of International Studies at North Carolina State University. Outside of her professional work, Kathryn enjoys crocheting, attending concerts, exploring local food spots, and spending time outdoors with her dog, Oakley.
