Carolyn Coia is the Vice President of Real Estate for the Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina (managing entity of Research Triangle Park). Since 2016, Carolyn has led strategic financial planning/modeling; feasibility, due diligence, TI/build and leasing of 600K+ SF office/laboratory/retail; the culmination of these activities have brought the Foundation from a significant annual deficit position to a revenue basis that could cover its operating expenses.
In addition to revenue producing activities, Carolyn led project management and tenant coordination of Boxyard RTP (cargotecture); various RFPs – financial, construction, development, etc. as well as supports the mixed use master plan development efforts in 100 acres rezoned SRP-C (total future development of 6M SF).
Prior to joining the Foundation, Carolyn worked for a group of companies owned by private equity, where she was heavily involved in acquisition pro forma work, budgeting/forecasting (P&L, BS, CF) and miscellaneous financial modeling. Carolyn holds a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Carolyn currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Triangle Chapter of the American Red Cross as well as for the Research Triangle High School.
