CARY, N.C. (April 25, 2025) – Horseshoe at Hub RTP, a mixed-use project from Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina (RTF) and White Point, was recognized as “Best Development Project” in the 26th Annual Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women (TCREW) Champion Awards. The Best Development Project award recognizes an office, retail, multi-family, hotel, or mixed-use property that demonstrates excellence in functionality, aesthetics and relationship with its surroundings. On April 24, RTF and White Point joined fellow honorees at an awards ceremony at the Embassy Suites in Cary to celebrate leaders in the Raleigh-Durham commercial real estate community.
“We are thrilled for Horseshoe to receive such esteemed recognition from this impactful organization,” says Erik Johnson, founder of White Point. “Thank you to TCREW for the honor and congratulations to both the winners and nominees of this year’s Champion Awards.”
TCREW compiles nominations annually for the Champion Awards, receiving submissions from successful real estate projects and professionals throughout the Triangle area and selects winners who are honored at the Awards Ceremony.
As the gathering point of Hub RTP, Horseshoe is a downtown destination for Research Triangle Park (RTP) and the surrounding community. The development was completed in late 2024 and features a trio of buildings surrounding a central courtyard ideal for recreation, community events, and relaxing.
James Beard Award semifinalists Preeti Waas and Christopher Prieto are among the chefs bringing their globally-inspired food and drink concepts to Horseshoe at Hub RTP. Waas’ Nanny Goat boutique bodega and a second Cheeni location open this spring. Prieto’s Prime STQ is slated to open this fall. Di Fara Pizza Tavern and Drift Coffee & Kitchen are also joining the community and expected to open later this year. Genesys, a global software company, is relocating its Durham office to Horseshoe at Hub RTP this fall.
“Each day, I’m grateful for the opportunity to help shape spaces that connect and uplift our community,” said Caroyln Coia, vice president of real estate, RTF. “Working to bring Horseshoe to life has been a deeply rewarding experience and marks an exciting step in RTP’s continued evolution. It’s an honor to be nominated for this prestigious award alongside such an inspiring group of leaders.”
In addition to Horseshoe’s recognition by TCREW, RTF CEO and President Scott Levitan was nominated for this year’s Impact Award, and Vice President of Real Estate Carolyn Coia was nominated for the CREW Excellence Award.
