Get a chance to head to the premier open source conference courtesy of the Research Triangle Park. Our President and CEO, Bob Geolas, is a keynote speaker (along with a ton of amazing other folks) on Tuesday afternoon, and will be giving attendees a first look at the progress of our Park Center redevelopment project.

You’re probably wondering how this all fits in with open source technologies. While we’re not a tech firm here at the Research Triangle Foundation, we’ve worked tirelessly to operate RTP’s first redevelopment in 55 years in a manner that is open and transparent. Ideas and input have come from not just the Triangle, but from all across North Carolina.

If you’ve been out here lately, you might notice that the building at Park Center isn’t finished. In fact, we’ve just only started tearing down some buildings at the site to make way for new spaces for creative people and companies.

So, we still need your help, and most importantly – your ideas.

Help us implement the best thoughts and practices of an open source environment. We want to be progressive and innovative both in theory and physical appearance. How should we do this? Are there applications or tools that could help us be more productive? When Bob speaks on Tuesday, he will do a great job of explaining why the community we’re creating will be one where people “dream, believe and create.”

So, tell us how we can be most helpful in creating an environment to do this. You might just win a pair of tickets on us to attend All Things Open in Raleigh on October 22nd and 23rd.

The Contest
What’s the best thing we can be doing to foster a community of open innovation? Is there a tool we should be using, a community we need to be engaging with, or an event we should be attending? We want your advice. Tell us how we can make our community better. Our goal is to start implementing the best and most useful ones. We’ve also got a couple of pairs of tickets to give away.
