Marketing & Communications Intern

The Frontier Community Intern

As The Frontier’s Community Intern, you will be immersing yourself in our vibrant culture and growing The Frontier’s customer service model. Responsibilities may include event planning, production and execution, community programming, client relations and social media engagement. 

What is The Frontier? We are a community driver, a convener of bold thinkers, self starters, academics, creatives, entrepreneurs and RTP companies. We break the mold when it comes to collaborative workspaces and we’re looking for our next intern. This position is paid and offers flex hours.

AmeriCorps VISTA | Events and Fundraising Lead – US2020 RTP

The Events and Fundraising Lead will help to continue the work of US2020 in RTP by planning events that expose new audiences to the program and working to support fundraising efforts that will help to sustain this work for years to come. This person will be instrumental in planning, implementing, and generating financial support for a number of events on the US2020 RTP calendar. They will have the opportunity to get direct exposure to key stakeholders as they help connect and engage them with our programs and partners. They will also have the opportunity to develop and implement a strategy to secure resources that will bolster the sustainability of our programs, while building the capacity of our leadership team to initiate and maintain important funding pathways. NOTE: A personal vehicle is strongly encouraged for service-related travel at this site; mileage will be reimbursed. MANDATORY orientation required the week of Nov. 1-4, 2016 before VISTA begins service.

Nicole joined our RTF family for the spring/summer Business Development internship and was eager from the first moment we met her. She continued to ‘wow’ us with her contributions to projects and events. It’s a bitter sweet farewell, as she has recently earned her BS in Marketing from Metropolitan State University in Minnesota and will be moving on to her next grand adventure. We wish you all the best Nicole!
