As Senior Planner, Tim Brock coordinates short and long range planning activities, including the RTP master plan, transportation plans and recreational infrastructure plans. Tim also supports economic development initiatives in the park, including assisting with the Park Center development and other real estate transactions. He serves as the RTP representative for local planning, transportation and economic development committees.
A member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Tim has over a decade of planning and economic development experience. Prior to joining the Research Triangle Foundation, Tim was transportation and land use planning consultant in the triangle. Previous positions include assistant professor of urban planning and economic geography, transportation policy research associate and green development coordinator.
Tim joined RTF in June 2018 and is excited to be part of the great team of folks that are planning and building the next chapter of bold and innovative ideas at RTP. Hailing from coastal Georgia, Tim received his undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University. He has a doctorate from the University of Kentucky and a masters from the University of Kansas (and always roots for the Jayhawks in March!)
