As Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Michael leads all aspects of the Research Triangle Foundation’s marketing and communications efforts. Working with an internal team, agencies, and strategic partners, Michael is focused on telling RTP’s dynamic story—its past, present, and future—through advertising, community engagement, PR, and other digital means. He is responsible for increasing RTP’s marketability and global brand awareness while adding value to all RTP assets.
Michael brings over 15 years of marketing and digital media storytelling experience to RTP. Prior to joining RTP, he created and led marketing and branding campaigns for Citrix and Red Hat and also produced interactive websites, apps, and exhibits for major museums and universities such as the Baseball Hall of Fame, the National Archives and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
Michael graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He lives near downtown Durham with his wife, son, and daughter.
