YWIB Visits JC Raulston Arboretum

JC Raulston Arboretum | 4415 Beryl Road Raleigh, NC Sep 17 2:30 pm - Sep 17 3:30 pm

Have you ever wondered why different areas have different kinds of plants? Come see how changing the type of planter you use or manipulating the architecture surrounding a plant can create the ideal climate for plants native to Asia to be grown right here in North Carolina! Girls in 4th and 5th grade are invited to join YWIB at the JC Raulston Arboretum. The arboretum is a teaching and research facility with more than 9,000 specimens across more than 6,000 species. The event will include a hands-on project and a tour of the gardens, please make sure to dress weather appropriate!

Due to the size of the garden, event capacity is limited so please register in advance. Parents are welcome to accompany students on the tour!
