The University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health is consistently recognized as a leading public health school, and is currently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the top public school of public health in the nation! The school’s mission is to improve public health, promote individual well-being, and eliminate health disparities across North Carolina and around the world.
This event will include an introduction to the school with a question and answer portion. The girls will then be taken on a tour of the school and the labs where they can meet with graduate students and faculty, and learn about their research.
This event is open to rising 9th-12th grade girls. Advanced registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted and parents are unable to participate at the event. Closed-toe shoes and pants are a requirement to participate in the lab tours.
