The Paris Agreement on Climate Change, signed by 200 nations in December 2015, requires countries to lower greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to limit global temperature increases. While individual nations are developing action plans (INDCs) to meet this challenge, companies worldwide are also setting emission targets for themselves. About the Professor: Monika Kondura is a lecturer of Sustainability at the UNC - Chapel Hill. Throughout her studies and work experience, she has conducted extensive research on the issues of sustainable business practices and corporate responsibility. Teaching and discussing such topics with her students is one of her biggest passions. He has a law degree and holds two M.A. degrees and one M.S. degree, from the Universities of Tirana, Bologna, Brandeis and Northeastern, respectively. Her latest degree’s concentration was on Sustainability and Climate Change. Monika has development work experience nationally and internationally, and sees businesses as drivers of sustainability for their bottom line’s gains, while enhancing climate adaptation and poverty alleviation in the developing world.
