Are you a creative looking to turn your passion into a full-timejob? Join the Durham Art Guild for the second installment of our series, The WORK of Art, as we host a panel called, “How to Make a Living as a Full Time Artist.” This panel will include three successful artists that have turned their craft into their primary source of income. Panelists will include; tissue paper artist, Maya Freelon Asante; photographer, Chris Charles; and painter, William Paul Thomas. During the panel we will cover topics including: what it takes to get started as a professional artist, how to market your services to the appropriate clientele, how to navigate social media to promote your work, how to price your work, and more.

The panel will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd from 6:30-8:00pm in DAG’s SunTrust Gallery located within the Durham Arts Council building at 120 Morris Street. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is limited to 50 seats so grab your spot today!
