Knit In for the Triangle Literacy Council

The Frontier | 800 Park Offices Drive | RTP, NC 27709 Oct 20 12:00 pm - Oct 20 4:00 pm

Helping babies, knitting, and a free lunch? Sign me up! The Triangle Literacy Council (TLC) is hosting it’s first “Knit In” on October 20th from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in The Classroom at The Frontier (800 Park Offices Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709) and we want you there!

The TLC has created a brand new program called Bouncing Baby Bookworms and our goal is to use this program to encourage new moms to read to their newborn babies and we plan on doing that by providing each new mom with a Bookworm Bundle. These bundles will be filled with all sorts of fun items to jump-start their baby’s literacy, but we need volunteers like YOU to help make baby blankets to add to them! If you love to knit and enjoy good food, good company and volunteering for a good cause, then bring along your needles and yarn and come meet up with us at The Frontier. We’ll be in The Classroom on the first floor.

Please RSVP to Olivia Walters by Friday, October 13th. If you have any questions or would like to RSVP, please call (919) 787-5559 and ask for Olivia Walters or email [email protected] Happy Knitting!

*If you don’t knit or won’t have the time to stop by, feel free to donate a new or unused baby blanket or books at our main office anytime to help out with our cause! We look forward to seeing you there and remember, “It’s Never Too Early To Learn How To Read!”
