#PPGArtists-in-residence Aya Shabu and Dasha Chapman will hold a performance based on research and community feedback over the course of their 6-week residency. A reception will follow the performance.
Hayti/Haiti/History is a creative history project exploring connections between Hayti, Durham's historic neighborhood and Haiti, the First Black Republic.
The Power Plant Gallery is an initiative of the Center for Documentary Studies and the Master of Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts at Duke University. #PPGArtists is a program of the Power Plant Gallery. Chapman and Shabu are in residence through July 15th. Public studio hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, from 12pm-5pm.
