Have you had your original work ripped off by someone, especially a large company? Not sure what you should or can do about it? Or what you might be able to do now to put youself in a better position if it happens again?

John Pugh of House of Swank has been through it. He discovered his original and locally famous "Tomato/Vinegar" design reproduced on a Tervis mug at Bed, Bath and Beyond. He complained on Twitter and was able to generate press about his case.

John will be telling his story at a Law + Artworks session on November 1. He will be joined by trademark and copyright lawyer Pamela Chestek, who will be providing insight on the legal side of the story, with the session moderated by intellectual property attorney Erica Rogers.

Bring your curiosity and your questions as we talk about improper copying, and what to do about it, from both the business and legal perspective.
