Come learn about the amazing story of how Cisco Systems and Dimension Data partnered to successfully address the issue of illegal poaching of rhinos in South Africa.

By marrying IoT technology with security and networking expertise the companies produced “…the first conservation-related approach where the animals are not touched, leaving them to roam freely while a "layered effect" of technology, people, and gadgets protects them”, according to Bruce Watson, Dimension Data’s Cisco Alliance Group executive.

Not only has this solution reduced the number of rhinos poached but it is one that is potentially transferable to other activities which could benefit from large-scale surveillance and monitoring technology – from sports venue protection to mineral mining to large-scale manufacturing.

Attendees Will Learn:

How Cisco and Dimension Data created the Connected Conservation partnership and solution, what it has achieved to date, and what future phases will do to minimize rhino poaching
How IoT plays an integral role in the technical solution delivery
What the drivers, processes, and governance model are that have supported and sustained the alliance
Ways the solution may be expanded to other surveillance and monitoring problems
