What is the animal microbiome, and how will it impact agriculture in North Carolina?
We are learning more and more about how the microbes that live in us and on us impact human health. The same is true for animal agriculture, where animal health and nutrition are intrinsically tied to the microbes living in and around each animal. This event will feature speakers from local universities sharing their academic research into the animal microbiome, as well as from companies who have commercialized technologies based on the animal microbial community. These talks will include applications relating to swine, poultry, and aquaculture. Please come join us to learn about this exciting frontier of ag bioscience.
