American Tobacco Trail - Downtown Durham to Apex, and Cloer Family Vineyards May 16 9:30 am - May 16 2:30 pm

On May 16, 2015 North Carolina Rail-Trails will host its second annual Toast to Trails Cycle & Sip event on the American Tobacco Trail (ATT) and at Cloer Family Vineyards. This 36-mile bicycle ride starts at the American Tobacco Trail trailhead in downtown Durham, NC and covers 17-miles each way on the ATT with a brief on-road connector to Cloer Family Vineyards in Apex, NC. This ride is appropriate for road/touring bicycles, and the gentle terrain of the ATT makes it ideal for riders of all experience levels. Cyclists and supporters will enjoy lunch, music and wine tasting at the Vineyards before either cycling back to the trailhead or jumping on the Greenway Transit shuttle for the return trip.

Event details and registration information are available at Call 919-399-5214 or email [email protected] with any questions. All proceeds from this event benefit North Carolina Rail-Trails, the statewide nonprofit land trust dedicated to preserving historic rail corridors, creating rail-trails for public use, and connecting people and communities across the great state of NC since 1990.
