Come check out the first lunch spot at the Park Center development! The Farmery is now open for lunch, and we encourage everyone to come check out this unique concept. Many of the items on the menu are grown right here in our community, using shipping containers that have been transformed into farms. Currently, the Farmery is operating out of an Airstream trailer, but be on the lookout for big plans in the future!

Triangle Startup Weekend- Social Impact

Triangle Startup Weekend: Social Impact will bring together 60+ people interested in making a social impact for 54-hours. The event begins with open-mic 60-second pitches on Friday night that result in the formation of small teams around the best, most viable concepts. Teams spend Saturday and Sunday focusing on user research, customer development, validating their ideas and designing prototypes with the help of experienced coaches from the social impact sector. Bob Geolas, CEO of the Research Triangle Foundation, will be talking about how he got to where he is today, the challenges and pitfalls he faced, and how he overcame them. RTP Art Show | Opening Reception

Join us for the opening reception of the First Annual RTP Employee Art Exhibit! This event, which is open to the public, will allow attendees to peruse art made by employees of RTP companies. There will also be a juror lecture by Dr. Lawrence Wheeler, Executive Director of the North Carolina Museum of Art. Attendees can expect light refreshments and beverages provided by Research Triangle Park. The artists’ work will hang at The Frontier from February 11 through March 11, and will be available for viewing from 8:30am – 5:00pm M-F.

RTP 180: Gene-Environment Interaction

Everyone knows that breathing in things like mold or polluted air have the potential to make you sick, but did you know that these environmental agents could be impacting your genetic makeup? As scientists learn more about the connection between genetics and environmental factors, and how that connection may influence human disease, they’ll begin to develop new strategies for the treatment and prevention of many illnesses. At February’s RTP 180, you’ll hear from researchers located here in the Triangle that are on the forefront of this issue.

Mondays – RTP Cardio, 4:45-5:30 | Athletic drills and interval training
Tuesdays – RTP Core Challenge (New!), 11:30-12:30 | A mix of core strength, stretching and balance that incorporates elements of Yoga, Pilates, barre, and mat work
Wednesdays – RTP Yoga, 11:30-12:30 | A basic-to-intermediate level class, linking breath and movement, flowing through the various poses
Thursdays – RTP Muscle Madness (New!), 11:30-12:30 | Body sculpting and toning through a mix of dumbbells, resistance bands, medicine balls and body weight exercises.
