As construction begins for Horseshoe, Hub RTP gains its first office tenant

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC (Nov. 2, 2022) – Today, White Point and Research Triangle Foundation (RTF) announced Data443 Risk Mitigation, Inc. (“Data443”) (OTCPK: ATDS) as its first tenant for Horseshoe at Hub RTP.

“Our mission is to organize the world’s information by identifying and protecting all sensitive data regardless of location, platform, or format. It is an ambitious undertaking that requires a lot of energy and top talent to succeed,” said Data443 President and CEO Jason Remillard.

According to Remillard, their headquarters relocation to Hub RTP will help promote the company’s brand, recruit top talent, and maintain competitive edge in the areas of engineering and design, marketing and sales and other key functions to evolve and expand the data security and privacy software company.

Data443’s culture and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion align with Research Triangle Foundation’s values and models the types of companies that RTF leadership seeks to attract to the Park. Data443 is also dedicated to service members participating in the U.S. DOD’s Skillbridge Program.

“White Point welcomes Data443 as the first tenant of our mixed-use Horseshoe at Hub RTP project. Horseshoe is central to the rebirth of Hub RTP as Research Triangle Park’s lively ‘downtown,’ and we look forward to having more like-minded, innovative and technology-driven companies join Data443 in calling Horseshoe home,” said Jay Levell, co-founder of White Point.

The announcement comes shortly after breaking ground on Horseshoe on October 18. The groundbreaking for the first building to go vertical in RTP’s new downtown was well-attended with over 400 people, including officials from Durham and Wake counties, RTF Board of Directors, local transit authorities and chambers of commerce, real estate partners, and the greater RTP community. The energy was vibrant with live music, networking, light brunch bites, a mimosa bar, and more.

During the ceremony hosted by RTF President and CEO Scott Levitan alongside EVP and CFO Linda Hall, remarks in support of the project were made by Jack Cecil, Chair of the RTF Board Development Committee; Brenda Howerton, Chair of the Durham County Board of Commissioners; Erik Johnson, Co-Founder of White Point; Joshua Rowsey, Director of Blackspace, whose spoken word piece, This is Hub RTP, was streamed at the end of the event.

Horseshoe’s naming is two-fold: It signifies RTP’s history as a brain magnet, and from an aerial view it is shaped like a “U”. The development will include approximately 160,000 square feet of office and retail that wraps around a central outdoor courtyard, overlooking 16 acres of greenspace and providing connectivity to streamside boardwalks and the Park’s existing 20+ mile trail system. Construction is expected to be complete in late 2024.

Cushman & Wakefield represented Data443, while JLL represented the Horseshoe office building. CBRE is the leasing agent for the retail component of Horseshoe at Hub RTP.

At full build out, Hub RTP will be a walkable urban district including up to one million square feet of office and life sciences, 1,200 multifamily residential units, 250 hotel rooms, and more. Located at the heart of RTP, the 100-acre downtown includes the existing Frontier RTP innovation campus and the shipping container complex, Boxyard RTP. The first of its kind, this mixed-use development will transform the Park into a destination.
