The Triangle Expressway Trot will take place on the newly constructed Triangle Parkway portion of the Triangle Expressway, North Carolina’s first modern toll road, near the intersection of Hopson Road and Davis Drive in Research Triangle Park. The event begins at 1:00 p.m. with a shotgun start at 2:00 p.m. The kid’s 100 yard dash will follow at 3:00 p.m., free of charge.

All proceeds from the trot will benefit Mothers Against Drunk Drbiving (MADD), the official partner of the race.

All individuals are encouraged to participate in the Triangle Expressway Trot! The race welcomes all runners, walkers or those seeking a family walk (strollers welcome). However, please note that bicycles and pets are not permitted at the race. 

The community is invited to participate in this family-friendly event to get a sneak peek at the new toll road before it opens to traffic. 96 Rock will be providing entertainment and children can make friends with some of our area’s favorite mascots, bounce in jumpy castles and explore the exhibition vehicles on display.

Parking will be available at the Keystone parking lot located at 430 Davis Drive.
