Engaging the Community for Research Success: What Scientists and IRBs Need to Know
South Atlantic National Research Conference
Meeting Purpose:
- To develop a better understanding of ethical, regulatory, and policy issues involved in conducting community-engaged research in national and international settings
- To provide a forum for researchers, regulators, and community representatives to network and form partnerships
Educational Objectives:
- To raise awareness of participants as partners in research
- To provide tools for conducting community-engaged research
- To identify roles, responsibilities, and challenges of stakeholders in conducting community-engaged research
- To clarify the role of 45 CFR 46 in protecting human subjects and community Research Conference
