Description
NCSEA & SELF-HELP CREDIT UNION PARTNER ON BUSINESS LENDING EVENT
Join us to celebrate the launch of Self-Help Credit Union's new loan program! Self-Help's new loan program will finance energy-efficiency and renewable-energy upgrades to commercial buildings, small businesses, child cares, charter schools and other community facilities. The launch is part of the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association's (NCSEA) innovative education series, Clean Energy Connections.
Self-Help will begin deploying its $15 million loan program — created with a $5.5 million loan from Bank of America — in Charlotte before expanding to Washington, D.C., and up to seven other target cities. In addition to financing, Self-Help will assist borrowers in identifying cost-effective investments in envelope, HVAC, lighting, water and renewable energy.
Featured presentations include “Financing Energy Upgrades” by Self-Help Credit Union loan officers and 5-minute energy efficiency success stories by Meghan McDermott of Southern Energy Management; Rich Deming of Calor Energy and Josh Hawn of Sustainable Industrial Solutions
