The Citizen of the World Award is given annually to the North Carolinian who has done the most for the internationalization of our state.

Please join us for the 2011 Citizen of the World Award Dinner honoring Ping Fu, Chair, President and CEO of Research Triangle Park-based Geomagic. Ms. Fu co-founded Geomagic and has led its growth from start-up to worldwide leader in the digital shape sampling and processing (DSSP) industry. Geomagic has attracted more than $8 million in capital from private and institutional investors, and won millions of dollars in research innovation grants from NSF and NIST. The company has been profitable since 2002, and increased its revenue by 2,105 percent during the last five years.

The event is hosted by the Raleigh International Affairs Council and will take place on Friday, November 11 at The Umstead Hotel and Spa.  The general reception begins at 6:00pm with dinner at 7:00pm.
