Over the past few years, it has become evident that the traditional “feet on the street” selling model is no longer working. What has also become evident is that patients and payers are becoming increasingly price sensitive to high priced, branded pharmaceutical products.

It is with this backdrop that POZEN plans to transform the commercial pharmaceutical model with a strategy of affordable medicines and balancing a “High Touch” and “High Tech” communications approach.

As Chief Commercial Officer of POZEN, Cermak is leading the charge behind the commercialization of POZEN’s PA franchise, a portfolio of integrated treatments designed to enable the full power of aspirin by reducing its gastrointestinal (GI) toxicity.

Liz Cermak
Ms. Cermak is Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer at Pozen.

Prior to joining Pozen, Cermak was Worldwide Vice President for Johnson & Johnson and served in a variety of senior leadership roles across the pharmaceutical, consumer products and health management businesses. She has spent over 25 years in the healthcare industry and has led a number of Marketing and Sales organizations, most notably the $1.0B Women’s Health business at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Her RX and Consumer Products experience spans a number of therapeutic areas, including contraception, urology, pain, GI, CNS, anti-infectives, eye care and hair loss, with a successful track record of launching new products and growing and globalizing brands. Prior to this, Cermak was a senior management consultant for what is now Deloitte.
