Cree 2013 Small Business Supplier Fair

The Small Business Supplier Fair is open to the public and all business industries to promote networking and procurement opportunities between large corporations and small business concerns such as Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, HUBZone, Small Disadvantaged businesses as well as business owners with 500 employees or less. Hosted by Cree, the Small Business Fair serves as a networking and procurement platform for small businesses exploring potential procurement opportunities through government contracting as well as subcontracting from large corporations.

NCTA State of Technology Conference

Speakers from our three founding universities, local companies and the community at-large will be called upon to don their finest Chucks and take to the stage to speak passionately about what matters to them.

CED Funding Series: Tips & Tricks for a Successful Crowdfunding Campaign

Candace Klein, founder and CEO of Bad Girl Ventures and SoLoMend will be leading a workshop on how to successfully crowdsource funding. A master of the art, Candace has successfully raised over $1.7 million in 25 competitions. Her workshop, "Tips and Tricks for a Successful Crowdfunding Campaign," will provide attendees with information on how to successfully develop pitches for crowdfunding, and will give an update on new federal regulation being developed.

AFCEA 2013 Golf Touney - Benefiting STEM in NC!

The North Carolina chapter of the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association has been awarding scholarships and grants throughout the state to teachers and students pursuing an education in STEM related fields. Since 2008, they have raised more than $250k for program entities across North Carolina.

This year, they'll be holding a golf tournament to futher their support efforts. Called 3Day4Science, the event aims to promote the need for STEM education throughout the state.
